I had in mind these solar panels were pretty expensive. However, after a thorough research, I managed to use homemade solar panel kits (common tools and inexpensive and easy to acquire materials) to make small solar panels that rival commercial panels in power production…

Not bad at all! That’s a fraction of what commercially made solar panels, with a comparable power output, would cost, and it was very easy!
You can build as many small solar panels as you like, in order to add to the capacity of any system.
I´m looking forward to doing so myself, because, even though I have already saved tons of money with my small solar panels, I want to keep saving more bucks and the planet, as well as exploring new options and having some more fun by adding a Magnetic Power Generator and Thermal Solar Hot Water. A little overview about solar panels
Solar panels are basically sort of boxes that hold an array of solar cells (which turn sunlight into electricity). Since it takes plenty of these fragile cells to produce meaningful power, they must be assembled into panels. Therefore, panels just hold cells and protect them from external elements. And, how complicated could building them be? I thought that If my neighbor could do it, I could definitely learn how to make homemade solar panel electricity myself.
Some important small solar panels facts:
- The issue with building small solar panels is acquiring solar cells at a reasonable price.
- New solar cells are extremely expensive, and can sometimes be hard to find, but used solar panels, as well as blemished and damaged solar cells are available on Ebay and other places at a fraction of the cost of new cells.
- These second rate solar cells could probably be used to make small solar panels that would work just fine.

When I started this quest, it wasn’t easy to know which materials are required, where to buy them from or how to build my small solar panels system.
